Hampton Inn by Hilton Halifax Downtown

The breakfast was the best I ever had in any hotel I stayed and I was a flight attendant for 33 years.. To add to this was the service that was provided upon checkin by your Receptionist Kuldeep.. . She was so professional and pleasant and explained the Honors system and I joined immediately.. Definitely an asset to your company as a valuable Employee and just a lovely person .. Exactly someone you would hope for when you checkin .. in fact all your employees were marvellous and the staff in charge of the breakfast buffet were exceptional as well .. we loved our stay and will be back often we hope . Very convenient location right at the Halifax citadel, just a few blocks to the waterfront, a few street parking lots in front of the hotel, more private lots at additional cost in the back of the hotel, washer and dryer at disposal at additional cost, clean, good selection for breakfast

The breakfast was such a plus. The only thing I found that I think needs addressing is the bed. The mattress itself was comfortable but the frame was very flimsy and shakey. If I even coughed , the whole bed moved. Everytime I moved , even a little , my husband was woke up and vise versa. Nothing a solid frame couldnt fix. Other than that , the rooms were a good size , very clean and cozy. The location was perfect for a casino visit to the city and the staff at the front counter , well so friendly and accommodating.

The room, two queen beds, was lovely, One small night table held a great device that housed all kinds of plug -ins and charging receptacles. imho, each bed should have a separate light so that one can read and the other can sleep. Nice small fridge. View of the Citadel (Room 1626) and close to the elevator. Close to many places to eat. Quite pricey, especially the parking!!!! Fabulous breakfast!

Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with a good variety. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was ok, but hills made it difficult to go down to the harborfront only once during our 3-day stay. Not many restaurants nearby, except those downhill. Scotia shopping close to hotel and the indoors are flat!
